Patrick Van Ingelgem, the great leader as some call him. In reality, he is less than 1.80 meters tall to begin with. Also, I don't think this is what they mean by this statement.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to live with someone who not only has a household to run but also a business? Of course, he doesn't manage b.ignited on his own, but gets help from fantastic colleagues.

Let's start with a little introduction of myself, I'm Isabeau Van Ingelgem, 17 years old and a student at b.ignited. And of course, not to forget, I am the daughter of ;)

One of the tasks I was given was to make a small report on the boss, without him knowing about it. So I could actually write whatever I wanted. But however great the temptation was to make up all sorts of things and have a good laugh with him, I just stuck to the truth.

Patrick, or as my sister and I call him 'padre'. When I was given this assignment, a colleague of his said, 'Patrick just breathes b.ignited.' The first thing I had to think about was that he was absolutely right.When Patrick (aka Padre) comes home from the office, or ,because of COVID-19, just comes down from his desk, the first thing we hear is a speech about what changes or such things he has made for b.ignited.

Now, a little more about who Patrick is as a person. If I had to describe him in a few words, three words come immediately to mind: calm, patient and funny. The patient part is something he has managed to keep to himself, because that is something my sister and I definitely do not have. The funny part on the other hand... but I am deviating. I have to admit, though, that every once in a while he might lose his temper. Which, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that my sister or I are pushing him a bit...

I must also say that he does take his work home with him, for example, last time he had two thousand (possibly there were a few less) pieces of clothing with the name of the company. 'Come, if the three of us quickly put together the package for everyone, it will be quicker.', he said.

Yes, my sister and I thought so too, until two hours had passed. After all, what else do you have to do on an evening during school holidays?

And if you think he had all those nice ideas to personalize everything? Then I'll have to disappoint you, because my sister and I are the masterminds behind the merchandise.

I remember it like it was yesterday. 'Girls, can I have two minutes of your time?' And then Jolien (my sister) and I came up with the GREAT idea's.

Now I have only talked about the present, let us go back to the past.

Even before Patrick stepped into IT, which is a long time ago, he was a chef in Michelin-starred restaurants. He worked with several star chefs and every now and then we are served one of those star menus.

What I really want to say with this is that no matter where you come from or what you did, you can always switch to something completely different. And should you make the choice to switch to IT, b.ignited will certainly welcome you with open arms.
